God sent an angel to tell the shepherds about Jesus’ birth, and after he had given the message, lots and lots of others angels joined the first one and they started singing!
Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying,“Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” Luke 2:13-14, the Bible.
The angels were so excited about Jesus’ birth that they burst into song and praised God! That is one of the reasons that we sing at church – because we are so excited about what God has done that we just want to sing songs of praise to him.
